New Directives for Mass Celebrations Beginning July 4th

Dear St. Charles Family:

For those who wish to attend Mass in person, I will send links later this week for making reservations for services beginning July 4th, along with pertinent details and our new protocol that has been developed to reduce the risk of disease transmission.

Although Bishop Barber has just approved our protocol, COVID-19 continues to spread in Livermore, and attending in person is not the safest option. Be assured that dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Masses continues until further notice. You are encouraged to continue viewing our live-stream Mass at 9:30 AM on Sundays and may come to the Church at 11:00 AM for Communion. However, I advise those who are at high risk (the elderly or persons with underlying health conditions) to stay at home.

Because each service will be limited to 100 attendees, we are reinstating our Saturday 5:00 PM Vigil Mass, which will not include music and will not be live-streamed. In addition:

  • Communion services will now be held on Mondays at 9:00 AM and also will not be live-streamed.

  • Our Daily 9:00 AM Mass will continue to be live-streamed and will now be held Tuesdays through Fridays.

  • Also on Fridays, Reconciliation will be available by appointment and occur from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

  • All-Day Exposition / Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be held on the first Friday of each month from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM., with Benediction. You will be able to make reservations for personal prayer.

In addition to finding links to this week's Zoom meetings below, I encourage each father who missed Sunday's Mass to read my bulletin message (also below), as it is important to know that each one of you is called upon to become a prophet!

Blessings,

Fr. Kwame

P.S.  Would you be willing to help? Volunteers are needed to help sanitize the church before and after Masses. If so, please contact Mary Hengl at Mary@stcharlesborromeo.org. Thank you!
