1 — Gift Tag Pick Up Instructions

The Giving Tree and category boards will be set up in the Church vestibule.  Tags will be hung on the tree and gift category boards for the following recipients:

1. • Students and their families (nominated by Child Welfare Specialists at Livermore schools)

2. • Families registered for Tri-Valley Haven’s holiday program

3. • Client families from Catholic Charities East Bay

4. • Client families from St. Vincent de Paul Alameda County

5. • Residents of Goodness Village (the 28-tiny home project for those formerly unhoused)

6. • Our neighbors living in their cars or encampments (served by local homeless advocates)

7. • Residents of Vineyards Healthcare Convalescent Home

Visible labels will be on each tag and include a recipient ID code, first name, age, gender (if applicable), gift description, and final due date.  PLEASE READ THE TAG CAREFULLY and purchase the requested gift card amount or new, age-appropriate item(s) listed on the tag.

2 — Drop-Off Instructions

You can drop off gift cards and gifts in 2 ways:

1. Before or after daily or weekend Masses in the church vestibule

2. At the parish business office during the hours of: Monday - Thursday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Gift Cards

Put the unwrapped gift card, an activation receipt and the Giving Tree tag in a zip lock bag so the tag can be seen, read and verified.

• DUE DATE — Sunday, December 6TH

Gifts

Wrapped gifts: Put the gift receipt inside the gift box or gift bag and securely attach the Giving Tree tag to the outside of the gift so it can be seen, read and verified. Stockings filled with the requested new items are to be returned unwrapped and with the Giving Tree tag attached to the stocking.

• DUE DATE — Sunday, December 6TH

Please do not misplace ornament tags.  This is the only way to guarantee the gifts are given to the right recipients.  Take a picture of the tag on your phone when you shop, or when you shop online.  

3 — Monetary Donations

If you would like to participate in our Giving Tree but are not able to take a tag and shop for gifts or gift cards, we would gratefully accept any monetary donations to contribute towards gift purchases for tags not taken or gifts or gift cards not returned. You can do this by:

1. Using your giving envelope in your monthly mailing

2. OR by making an Online Donation

3. OR by credit card or smartphone at the Donation Station in the Church vestibule

4 — Volunteer

Please prayerfully consider if you would be willing and able to volunteer to make this year’s Giving Tree a success.  We will need volunteers to help wrap, sort, and verify gifts donated by parishioners to load gifts in Angel Network families’ vehicles when they come to St. Charles to collect their gifts.
